At ZyncRide, your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it when you use our ride-sharing app.
1. Information We Collect
- Phone Number — required for OTP verification and account creation.
- Name & Profile — voluntarily provided to personalise your profile.
- Location — during active rides to match routes and enable real-time tracking.
- Device Token — to send ride notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Ride History — booking details used for support and safety.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Verify your identity and secure your account with OTP authentication.
- Match passengers with drivers on similar routes.
- Send ride confirmations and push notifications.
- Enable real-time location sharing during active rides.
- Support dispute resolution and community safety.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Limited sharing occurs only with:
- MSG91 — your phone number is shared solely to deliver OTP messages.
- Firebase (Google) — device tokens used to send push notifications.
- Legal requirements — if required by Indian law or a valid court order.
4. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored as HttpOnly cookies and never exposed to client-side JavaScript.
5. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Delete Account page. Upon deletion, your profile, credentials, and all personal data are permanently removed.
6. Children's Privacy
ZyncRide is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
